Pre-IB

Pre-IB is a one-year preparatory course for Danish and foreign students who have not completed 11 years of school. The teaching language is English as are the teaching materials. The pre-IB year is divided into two terms. The first term is a foundation course corresponding to the first term of the first year of the Danish upper secondary school, that is, 1.g of the STX. The second term aims more directly at preparing the students for the IB Diploma Programme, yet still complying with the requirements set by the Danish Ministry of Children and Education for the first year of the Danish STX so that students who have completed the pre-IB year can transfer to a Danish 2.g STX class instead of going to the IB Diploma Programme. Also after the first term transfer to STX is possible, and likewise, STX students can transfer to pre-IB after the first term and again after 1.g.
