IB Day on Egholm equals Pirate Day on Doomholm

On Friday September 5, 2008, the treasure hunters – formerly known as the IB students from Hasseris Gymnasium – were captured on Doomholm by an unruly group of unhappy teachers turned pirates. Led by the exceptionally mean 3i English A1 students, the students had to work together with people they might not have met before in order get released from the island and win a ticket for the grand pirate feast in the evening.

Ib Day is a new initiative at Hasseris Gymnasium and IB World School, intended to bring the school’s IB students together across cultures and year groups, but in a very different way than ordinary, everyday life at school allows. Given the success of the day, it appears that a tradition has been born!
